Nick's Review:
Though every Kerbey Lane in Austin has a unique look and architecture, its trademark quality service and dining experience are something that the company has managed to successfully bottle and package for use at all their locations. In fact, I can’t remember a single visit in which everyone in my party didn’t leave without a full stomach, or even a portion to take home.

Open 24/7, they offer a variety of regular and seasonal dishes not just limited to the breakfast variety. Whether you’re in the mood for pancakes, a classic BLT or an Orange Rock Fish entrée, the convenience of being able to order anything off the menu at any time of day caters to everyone. The price of dishes is comparable to say Denny’s or IHOP, but the quality of your portions is a few notches above.

Though the price is at a premium, you definitely should try a glass of their signature fresh-squeezed orange juice. It’s of a caliber that I’ve seen people actively ration their intake during their meal to make that one glass last.

Having spent four years at the nearby University of Texas campus, the location on Guadalupe was a typical hangout and meeting place. The wait staff is of the type that won’t shoo you away for just ordering a soda and an order of chips and queso, and will often sneak a free refill in on your beverage that surprisingly doesn’t show up on your bill.

It’s not hard to see why Kerbey Lane has prospered for 25 years. Next time you have enough time to sit down for breakfast, or any other meal for that matter, forego the deep-fried taco and grab a customizable breakfast burrito.
