Pluckers, in my opinion, has the best chicken wings in Austin. I personally like my wings flaming hot (their Fire in the Hole flavor), but they have a wide selection of tasty flavors including Teriyaki, Jamaican Jerk, Cajun, Sesame, Goldrush, Ranch, and more! If you just want to pick up some wings and watch a movie at home (as I often choose to do), then go with a delivery or take-out option. But dining in is great too because the staff prides themself in being extra frienldy, and it is a joy to sit down and watch a sports game on their TV's while drinking a limited selection of beer on tap.
Notes about the Rio Grande Location: This is the original Pluckers, and it is located on "West Campus" of the University of Texas in Austin. There can be waits during the dinner and "after party" hours, as this place is quite popular with college students. The building itself is also smaller and has limited parking, so if you have a large party then the Research Boulevard location is best for you! |
